SBS Modified Asphalt Microscopic Evaluation Parameters of Macroscopic Properties by Grey
Journal Title: 河南科技大学学报(自然科学版) - Year 2016, Vol 37, Issue 4
Abstract
In order to determine the SBS modified asphalt microscopic evaluation parameters of macroscopic properties, road asphalt and modifiers were chosen to prepare modified asphalt in different contents of modifiers and shearing time. Macroscopic properties test and fluorescence microscopy image acquisition were conducted at the same time. Then the microscopic morphology parameters of images were extracted. Gray relation method was adopt to determine the microscopic evaluation parameters of SBS modified bitumen. The results indicate that the area percentage and the ratio of major to minor axis have good correlation with macroscopic properties of modified asphalt. Besides, when the area percentage is 18. 5% ~ 19. 5% and the ratio of major to minor axis is 1. 78 ~ 1. 82,macroscopic properties of SBS modified bitumen is the best.
