SCALED RADIO CONTROLLED PLATFORM
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2009, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
The paper presents building, preparing and testing of a scaled RC aerial platform, as a basis for future flight measurements. The platform is a 1:6 scaled radio controlled model of AEROTAXI design in development. A number of nine test flights were performed in order to validate the platform as reliable and suitable for dedicate instrumentation. Conclusions regarding the qualitative flight characteristics, shortcomings and future improvements are included.

Automated procedure for determination of friction grip and bearing joint strength used for space missions
This paper presents an algorithm that calculates the nominal torque for friction grip joints, followed by its implementation in a Microsoft Excel worksheet that is automated by a macro written in Visual Basic. The algori...
Application of Hamilton Principle in the control of Tethered Satellite System Pendular Motion
The control of a tethered satellite system pendular motion is done by application of Hamiltonian equation of motion on a control design method known as planar H tracking. In this case, the reference motion is considered...
Transonic Airfoil Flow Simulation. Part I: Mesh Generation and Inviscid Method
A calculation method for the subsonic and transonic viscous flow over airfoil using the displacement surface concept is described. Part I presents a mesh generation method for computational grid and a finite volume metho...
STUDY OF SOLID STATE LASER PASSIVE OPTICAL Q-SWITCHING OPERATION REGIME (Part 1)
This paper is the first of a four series treating, theoretically with experimental comparison, the issue of solid state laser passive optical Q-switching regime. In this first paper the technique of solid state lasers pa...
A Numerical Solution for the Lifting Surface Integral Equation
In this paper, we present a new numerical treatment of the lifting surface integral equation (LSIE) in the case of rectangular wing planform. The kernel of this equation possesses a strong singularity in Hadamard sense....
