SEDIMENTATION IN BINARY Cu-Sn SYSTEM
Journal Title: Computer Methods in Materials Science - Year 2018, Vol 18, Issue 4
Abstract
In the present paper the sedimentation process in binary multiphase Cu-Sn system is presented. The initial samples were produced by GoodFellow, the initial molar fraction was Cu30Sn70 respectively. Thus, the two-phase region was obtained. The two different phenomena occurs during the process of sedimentation at 453K for 1 hour with the angular speed of 35 000 RPM . Mainly, the Cu3Sn and Cu6Sn5 phase growth due to the temperature and migration of pure Sn according to the centrifugal force. Both phenomena's are described by physical equa-tions. The model describing the phase growth based on the Leibnitz rule - the mass conserva-tion law at the moving boundary and the migration of the elements due to the sedimentation is characterized by equation of motion. The results of the presented models are shown.

NONLINEAR DYNAMIC ANALYSIS OF AN AXIALLY MOVING POROUS FG PLATE SUBJECTED TO A LOCAL FORCE WITH KINETIC DYNAMIC RELAXATION METHOD
In some engineering applications like moving ships the axially moving FG structures have to be investigated. In this paper, the nonlinear response and stability of an axially moving porous FGM plate under a local concent...
A SIMULATION STUDY ON THE CLOSED-LOOP CONTROL OF SCREW PRESS FORGINGS USING THE IMPACT ENERGY AS CONTROL INPUT
Screw presses are energy-restricted forming machines that use rotational energy stored in a flywheel for forming, which is converted into a linear movement by a threaded screw. Screw presses are widely used for forging s...
USING NEURAL NETWORKS TO PREDICT THE FLOW CURVES AND PROCESSING MAPS OF TNM-B1
The ability to predict the behavior of a material is vital in both science and engineering. Traditionally, this task has been carried out using physics-based mathematical modeling. However, material behavior is dependent...
A VISION SYSTEM TO SUPPORT DETERMINATION OF MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF TUBES REQUIRED FOR COMPUTER MODELLING OF TUBE HYDROFORMING
Reliability of computer modelling of tube hydroforming depends strongly on mechanical properties of tubes, which are difficult to determine and sensitive to tube production methods. Some developments in experimental set-...
EXPERIMENTAL AND NUMERICAL INVESTIGATIONS FOR THE CHARACTERISATION OF FLOW BEHAVIOUR OF HYBRID STRUCTURES PRODUCED BY NON-KINEMATICAL CONSTRAINT MANUFACTURING PROCESSES
With regard to the challenges in the automotive production sector, caused by political regulations of CO2 emissions, lightweight concepts are focussed by industrial development. Fibre reinforced plastics (FRP) represent...
