Selection of generalized indicators for evaluation of development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Abstract
The article presents the results of the substantiation of the choice of generalized indicators that objectively characterize the development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The general methodological basis of the theory of construction and development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is a dialectical approach, which focuses on identifying the real factors and stable links between the processes of armed struggle, makes it possible to objectively approach the analysis of reality, to reveal directions of development of military affairs, the main tendencies of its changes, and Also, to determine the rational ways of solving the problems of the development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and their preparation for application. The purpose of this article is to analyze the development and use of a list of factors influencing the development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and suggest the choice of generalized indicators for assessing their development and readiness for use. In view of this, the article analyzes and substantiates that the construction and development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are carried out under the influence of a combination of external and internal factors of military-political, operational-strategic, social, financial-economic, military-technical, and geographic character. Consequently, the selected aggregate indicators provide an opportunity to objectively characterize the development of the armed forces and their preparation for use. The results of the research presented in this article can be used by the highest military-political leadership of the country when making decisions on the further development of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, their preparation for application, and also in the educational process.
