Sensorless Induction Motor Drives Using Adaptive Flux Observer at Low Frequencies
Journal Title: Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research - Year 2018, Vol 8, Issue 1
Abstract
Operation at low frequencies of sensorless drives using machine model-based estimation methods is a challenging issue. This paper proposes an adaptive flux observer (AFO) method of speed estimation for sensorless induction motor drives. The observer feedback gains are designed to guarantee accurate speed estimation, especially at low frequencies in the regenerating mode operation. A complete sensorless IM drive with the proposed AFO is executed in the laboratory. Extensive experimental results under different operating conditions are provided to prove the effectiveness of the proposed AFO, particularly under low stator frequencies in both motoring and regenerating modes of operation.

Security Analysis of Zipper Hash Against Multicollisions Attacks
In this paper, the existence of multicollisions in Zipper Hash structure, a new Hash structure which was introduced to strengthen the iterated Hash structures, is presented. This study shows that finding multicollisions...
Numerical Analysis of Crack Progress in Different Areas of a Friction Stir Welded Bead for an 5251 H14 Aluminum Alloy Specimen
The assemblies welded by Friction Stir Welding have a major advantage which is the absence of a metal filler. This process contributes to the welding of materials that are known to be difficult to weld using the conventi...
Numerical Simulation of Tire Reinforced Sand behind Retaining Wall Under Earthquake Excitation
This paper studies the numerical simulations of retaining walls supporting tire reinforced sand subjected to El Centro earthquake excitation using finite element analysis. For this, four cases are studied: cantilever ret...
