Situation of Organizational Culture and its Relationship with Organizational Commitment and Entrepreneurial Potential in Selected Hospitals of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in 2015-2016

Abstract
Background: The operation of an organization can be improved by organizational culture and commitment. Further, culture is one of the most basic tools for development of entrepreneurial. This study was aimed to examine the relationship between organizational culture, organizational commitment, and also organizational culture with organizational entrepreneurship from the viewpoints of hospital employees of selected Shiraz University of Medical Science. Methods: This applied and analytical study was carried out with participation of 150 employees of medical staff and administrative staff from 2 hospitals selected in Shiraz in 2015-2016. The required data were gathered using 3 valid questionnaires; Denison organizational culture (2000), Margarate Hill organizational entrepreneurship (2003), and Allen and Meyer organizational commitment (1991). Data were then analyzed thorough statistical software of Lizrel 8.5 and SPSS 16 by using structural equation modeling. Results: Our results showed a positive significant relationship between organizational culture and organizational commitment in addition to organizational culture and organizational entrepreneurship. With improving the organizational culture, entrepreneurship and organizational commitment have significantly increased. However, the effect of organizational culture on commitment was greater than the effect of this factor on entrepreneurship. Mean and Standard Deviation of culture, commitment, and organizational entrepreneurship were 3/38 ± 0/62, 3/28 ± 0/56, and 3/26 ± 0/57, respectively. Conclusion: Based on the findings, it can be concluded that implementation of appropriate strategies for improving the organizational culture can increase staffs' commitment and participation in entrepreneurship.
