S.KING’S «IT» AND S.FREUD’S «IT» – THE PLAY OF SEMANTIC DIFFERENCES

Abstract
The article compares Stephen King’s novel «It» and Sigmund Freud’s paper «The Ego and the Id». It also defines the method of psychoanalytic criticism used for the comparison. In addition, the analysis of the novel’s characters with some elements of psychoanalysis was carried out in order to reflect the parallel in the most efficient way.
