The objective of the research was to evaluate the competencies of teachers in attention to diversity in the context of a higher education institution and to this end, the questionnaire for evaluating the competencies of teachers in attention to diversity was applied to a sample of 30 teachers. diversity considering the context of Ecuadorian higher education. The results obtained indicate that teachers show a solid commitment to attention to diversity in the classroom, but there are areas for improvement, such as time management and individualized evaluation
