Sociology of Dwelling in Contexts: Behind the open door. Flat sharing in context of the presentation on the social stage

Abstract
The article concerns on the phenomenon of a short-term flat sharing using the web site Airbnb.com. The author concentrates on the communication of both offers and guests’ comments “on the social stage” in context of the theory of comfort. The empirical part bases on rooms from Warsaw and relates to their hybrid nature, situating them between home and hotel. The analysis also shows processes of making one’s own dwelling driven by reflexivity and narrativizing it for commercial reasons.<br/><br/>
