«SOFT LAW» AS A GENERAL-PURPOSE REGULATOR OF INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS

Abstract
The efficiency of soft law as a regulator of legal relations, which arise in different spheres is examined in this article. Authors analyze international soft legal norms, which are used by international organizations in the creation of international well-known acts and also the using of norms of soft law by individual Member-States, taking the example of Ukraine. It is also proposed to move away from traditional perception of international law due to development of the modern information society. Soft law is a special type of law, because it generates specific legal consequences. Soft law is becoming an effective tool of legal regulation of public relations.
