Some aspects of branchial parasitism in Leuciscus cephalus (Teleostei, Cyprinidae): first record of Lamproglena compacta (Cyclopoida, Lernaeidae) in Romania

Abstract

The present paper records for the first time the presence of the crustacean copepod Lamproglena compacta in the branchial microhabitat of the cyprinid species Leuciscus cephalus that belongs to a lotic Romanian ecosystem.
