SOME ASPECTS OF UTILIZATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF LOWER ODRA

Abstract
The paper is based on many years of longlasting research of the Author, carried out at Szczecin Branch of the Maritime Institute, and on the results of the I st stage of realization of the grant KBN PBZ 125-1. The work presents posibilities of utilization and development of the Lower Odra region, and especially new solutions of water supply for Szczecin and Swinouj§cie, of water transport on the Odra and Ina rivers, water management in the Mi~dzyodrze, waterway and dredging problems, oil terminals along the river and transport infrastructure of the town of Szczecin.
