SOME ISSUES OF OBTAINING SORBENTS CONTAINING ULTRADISPERSE IRON AND ITS OXIDES

Abstract
This article discusses some issues of receiving the sorbents containing ultradisperse iron and its oxides. Biorenewable resources, such as wastes of wood processing industry (timber, bark, sawdust, chips, etc.) were used as sorbent matrices. Mainly were used samples of Hornbeam (Carpinus), Alder (Alnus), Pine (Pinus), Spruce (Picea) and others. Partial (surface) pyrolysis of wood samples was carried out by the flame and in a high temperature muffle furnace and at room conditions. For the simultaneous removal of organic and inorganic pollutants from the water there are obtained sorbents, containing nanozero valent iron or its oxides. Method of receiving depends on treatment of sorbents with solutions of iron compounds and their further reduction to zerovalent condition. Iron and its oxides were deposited on the matrices by iron (0) pentacarbonyl via CVD processes in autoclave at 6 atm. at 2000C.
