Speech Influence in English Business Discourse

Abstract

In the process of verbal interaction various forms of influence are used – persuasion, compulsion, suggestion, flattery, emotional appeals etc. The kinds of such interactions are divided into positive and negative ones, i.e. to facilitate or hinder the co-operation.
