Spektakl przywództwa w oczach socjologa
Journal Title: Przegląd Humanistyczny - Year 2015, Vol 59, Issue 3
Abstract
The paper presents a new idea of the mechanism of formation and continuance of the process of leadership. The new idea integrates previous theories and models which describe different dimensions of this phenomenon. Standing on the basis of sociological theory of subjectivity and arising from it the theory of “social becoming”, the new idea clarifies the model of the “becoming” of leadership in the performative and relational perspectives. “The spectacle of leadership” leading from the “community of vision” to the “community of necessity”, both in rational and emotional terms, ends once the vision has been achieved. Moreover, the new idea explains the paradox of leadership, namely that each time the same mechanism brings about completely different, unique, and sometimes also unpredictable effects.
