Spiritual Tradition as an Anthropological Basis for a Musical Composition (on Example of Works by K. Penderecki, H. M. Górecki and A. Panufnik).

Abstract

The article attempts to interpret selected vocal works of three leading Polish composers of the second half of the 20th century in the key of philosophical anthropology, including the concept of synergetic anthropology by Sergey Horujy, Platonic and Aristotelian views on the phenomenon of music. Compositions considered in the article, on the one hand, serve as an example of creative melting musical language of the European tradition and avant-garde. On the other hand, as a basis of such melting we have to consider some general anthropological attitudes which, in turn, are a consequence of the adoption of more general, metaphysical premises.
