Abstract

Governments around the world have become increasingly involved in education being regarded as a key aspect which influences welfare of any state. In many countries, the process of reforming schools to make them more accountable and to raise academic standards began in the 1980s and has continued without pause since that time. The agenda of these reforms is primarily about raising pupils’ performances. High standards as pupils’ achievements are the result of any government activity taken to improve the quality of education.
