State Observer for Doubly-fed Induction Generator
Journal Title: Power Electronics and Drives - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
In the paper a new state observer for doubly-fed generator has been proposed. In the new approach an extended mathematical model of the doubly fed generator is used to form equations of the introduced z type observer. Stability of the observer has been verified through poles placement analyses. The active and reactive powers of the generator are controlled by a nonlinear multiscalar control method. Simulation and experimental results are presented and used to evaluate the quality of estimation of the observer.

PARAMETRIC ANALYSIS FOR THE DESIGN OF A 4 POLE RADIAL PERMANENT MAGNET GENERATOR FOR SMALL WIND TURBINES
Background: A review of the literature gives some guidelines for the design of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG). Material and methods: In this work a deeper analysis of the available topologies applied to...
Stability analysis of MRASCC speed estimator in motoring and regenerating mode
Background: This paper deals with the stability analysis of MRAS current speed estimator in a motoring and regenerating mode. The problem of unstable operating points of the estimator, mainly in a regenerating mode are w...
Rotor fault compensation and detection in the sensorless induction motor drive
Background The sensorless induction motor drive systems require the rotor speed estimation. When the rotor of induction motor is broken the rotor resistance value is different than the nominal value. Because, all of the...
Effects of Grid Disturbances on Current Source Rectifier Controlled by FCS-MPC Algorithm
Nowadays, the increasing number of non-linear loads influences the grid, causing grid voltage disturbances. These disturbances may be very dangerous for the equipment and can create faults in converter behaviour. However...
INDUCTIVE CURRENT TRANSDUCERS IN FREQUENCY RANGE UP TO 150KHZ
The article presents the results of research on inductive current transducers in the form of a uniform winding non-magnetic ring with a rigid and flexible construction encompassing the flow of processed current in the fr...
