State Regulation of Monopolized Markets in Ukraine

Abstract
The article is aimed to study the characteristics of functioning of different types of monopolies, justify the use of appropriate tools for anti-monopoly policy, as well as to identify ways of improving the anti-monopoly regulation. When analyzing various types of monopoly formations in the economy, causes of occurrence and of functioning of different types of monopolies were identified. The study revealed the effects of different types of monopoly formations on the economy. The need for use of relevant tools for anti-monopoly policy, intended to regulate the activities of different types of monopolies was grounded. Expedience of use of appropriated instruments of anti-monopoly policy in different markets was substantiated, that would take into account the characteristics of each particular market to improve the overall situation. The prospect of further research in this area is substantiation of use of anti-monopoly policy tools in different markets and improvement of anti-monopoly regulation in general.
