STATIC DEFORMATION OF A WORKPIECE FIXED IN UNIVERSAL CHUCK AND LIFE CENTRE
Journal Title: TEHNOMUS - Year 2011, Vol 18, Issue 1
Abstract
The rigidity could be defined as the capacity of a system or subsystem to oppose to the elastic deformation generated by the action of external forces. In this paper, the authors highlight some possibilities to evaluate the static rigidity of the technological system corresponding to a turning process. Some remarks were elaborated by considering the workpiece as a bar fixed at one end and simply supported at the other end. Experimental tests were developed to measure the static elastic deformation of the workpiece under the action of a variable loading force.

EVALUATION OF TERMO-GAS DYNAMIC PARAMETERS FOR ENGINE BRAKE PROCESS
In this work is presented the mathematical model to calculate the thermo-gas dynamic parameters that define the brake engine. This model can be used both for determining the state of the parameters of the working fluid i...
OPTIMIZATION OF THE PLASTIC INJECTION PROCESS THROUGH THE MODIFICATION OF THE PROCESS FUNCTIONAL PARAMETERS
The paper presents the optimization of the plastic injection process through the reduction of the cooling and removing times. For the deployment of the experiment the PA 6 polyamide will be used. The SolidWorks and Moldf...
MODERN GREEK LAGUAGE FREQUENCY COUNTS FOR TEXT ENTRY DEVICES
In this paper we present and analyze tabulated case-sensitive single letter, digram and trigram frequency counts from a 450 Kword modern Greek corpus. Special characters, such as space, comma, paragraph change and full s...
A SNAP INTO THE (NEAR) FUTURE WHEN INDUSTRY MEETS EVERYDAY LIFE
Camões the Portuguese poet wrote, back in the XV century, «Todo o mundo é composto de mudança, buscando sempre novas qualidades». And it is still looking for new ‘qualities’. Back in the XV century, Guttenberg invented t...
MATHEMATICAL MODELS FOR SMOOTHING PROCESS BY MECHANICAL SHOCKS OF CYLINDRICAL SURFACES
Smoothing by mechanical shocks is a processing method based on the impact effect of the balls with the work piece material. Specific phenomena such processing methods result in changes of mechanical properties of the sur...
