STATISTICAL ASSESSMENT OF THE PROSPECTS OF THE POPULATION AGEING IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The article defines the reasons of population ageing. The current situation of this process in Ukraine is considered and attention is paid to its unevenness in terms of the type of settlement and sex. The statistical assessment of the prospects of the ageing is carried out and the main demographic and socio-economic consequences generated by this process are determined.
