Statistical indicators of development of tourism in ukraine: directions improvement and harmonization with international standards

Abstract
Purpose. It is to identify the problems of accounting indicators of tourism statistics and identify areas of improvement. The article investigates methodological approaches taking into account the tourism indicators at the national and international level, to harmonize them with international standards. Methodology of research. The objectives of the article implemented by using the following general and specific research methods: analysis and synthesis, systematization and generalization, dialectical approach. Findings. investigated national and international accounting system of indicators of tourism development, identifies the main problems and directions of its improvement. Practical value. In the article the necessity of harmonization of indicators of tourism development with international standards. This will facilitate the evaluation of results-based tourism activity of Ukrainian and foreign subjects of tourist business, It will make it possible to determine the real contribution of the tourism sector to the economic growth of Ukraine. So urgent is the question of improving indicators of tourism statistics.
