STATISTICKÁ ANALÝZA V POLITICKÉ GEOGRAFII: PŘÍKLADOVÁ STUDIE – ETNOPOLITICKÁ MOBILIZACE NA KAVKAZE

Abstract
The political mobilization of Caucasian ethnic groups in the late 80 ́s is analysed by statistical methods to reveal its influence on consequent political events, i.e. the desintegration of the Soviet union and consequent ethnic conflicts. Correlation and regression analysis are applied to determine the significance of some selected demographic, social and historical factors on the ethnopolitical mobilization and mutual factor relationships. The article aim is both the political mobilization analysis from modernist and primordialist point of view and to verify statistical methods for such a purpose.
