STRATEGIES AND TACTICS OF SPEECH BEHAVIOR OF COMMUNICANTS IN TERMS OF ASSOCIATION RELATIONS

Abstract

The purpose of the paper is to study the semantic and pragmatic peculiarities of the reply questions and their functioning in the dialogical discourse in which association strategy is concretized in the tactics of clarication, conrmation and specication. The analysis of some pragmatic and semantic characteristics of the reply questions demonstrates that the meaning of these questions is characterized by some pragmatic variation and depends on the hearer’s communicative intentions. In communication space the role of the hearer is very important. the interrelation between the initial statements and reply questions epress the hearer’s attitude to the initial statement in the form of different strategies. The hearer’s strategy of association is actualized by different tactics: clarication, conrmation and specication. The pragmatic variation of the reply questions, the organization of language material is determined by the hearer’s intentions and his social role. Special attention is given to the description of the hearer’s emotional state and his attitude to the speaker. The analysis of the question replies functioning has led to the conclusion that their variation in the dialogical discourse is connected with the hearer’s strategy and tactics and is characterized by diversity of language means.
