STRUCTURAL AND FUNCTIONAL FEATURES OF MITOCHONDRIA AND METHODS OF THEIR STUDY IN EXPERIMENT

Abstract
Mitochondria play a key role in the life of the cell. Mitochondria are involved in the supply of energy to cells, storage and transmission of hereditary information, apoptosis and plastic processes. The aim of the work is the analysis and synthesis of literature data on the structural and functional features of mitochondria and their study in experiment. Due to the fact that any disease is accompanied by dys-function of the mitochondria, their further investigation with various pathologies in the clinic and ex-periment is promising and relevant.
