Study and Critical Edition of Chapter III of Molla Husrev’s Nakdu al-efkar fî red al-enzar

Abstract

This study is a critical edition the book Nakdu al-efkar fî red al-enzar which belongs to Molla Husrev. The book contains a group of issues in six fields: the Quran, life of the prophet, fiqh, usul al-fiqh, rhetoric and logic. The book is one of the muhakamat (adjudications) books. It contains 10 questions and their answers about every field. The questions belongs to Ala’a al-Deen al-Rumee (d. 481 H) and the answers belongs to Seraj al-Deen al-Tawqii (d. 886 H). Molla Husrev re-answered these issues again.At the beginning of the study three chapters were prepared: the first chapter is about a definition of the author (author’s life, personal features, teachers, students etc). In the second chapter: defining the book and the examined text. Also the reason of writing the book and the method the author follow in the writing the book and the examined text. As for the third chapter: The description of the scripted copies that used in the study and the method in the critical edition were explained.
