Abstract

We have conducted a study of 40 cases on Clinical out come and Prevalence of Multi-Drug Resistant in Spinal Tuberculosis and detection with Gene-Expert Test, Antibiotic susceptibility pattern in our Anil Neerukonda Hospital, NRI Institute of Medical Sciences, Visakhapatnam, with patients presenting directly or being referred from other primary and secondary care centers. Patients presenting to our institute with clinico-Radiological Scenario of Spinal Tuberculosis were evaluated thoroughly using Biochemical, Radiological and Histo-pathological studies. The Study was done, with the duration of 30 months for Evaluation and Management of Resistant T.B spine, from April 2016 to September 2018. Patients were categorised primarily according to the need for further invasive investigation (biopsy). Those patients without Neurological Deficit or with no indication for Surgery will undergo for Biopsy of the lesion on out-patient basis and were followed-up regularly on Out-Patient basis itself for further Management as planned.
