Journal Title: Scholars Journal of Engineering and Technology - Year 2013, Vol 1, Issue 4

Abstract

An attempt has been made to know the water quality of Malaprabha river of Belgaum near Habbanatti from June 2011 to May 2012. Water samples were collected and brought to the laboratory for analysis. Concentrations of investigated parameters were within the permissible limits of the WHO drinking water quality guidelines throughout the study period. Site is having Swayambu Hanuman temple, many people visit every day and throw floral offerings, cleaning utensils, clothing and bathing. Thus, there is a need of monitoring the river water quality.
