СУЧАСНА МОДЕЛЬ ГРОМАДЯНСЬКОЇ ОСВІТИ «CITIZENSHIP EDUCATION»: ДЕМОКРАТИЧНИЙ ДОСВІД РЕСПУБЛІКИ ПОЛЬЩА

Abstract
The article deals with the generally accepted classification of models of civic education (hegemonic, critical, transformational, symbolic) of the American political scientist R. M. Merelman; The modern model of civic education «citizenship education» in the Republic of Poland was explored, its purpose and main ideas were as follows: non-state content, active citizenship, principles of understanding and social trust as the basis of civic education, «learning through practical action», democracy participation; as well as the possibility of borrowing such a model of civic education for implementation in Ukraine, taking into account national peculiarities, modern socio-political situation, also social practice and cultural factors.
