СУДОВА ВЕТЕРИНАРНА ЕКСПЕРТИЗА ВОЛОСУ ТВАРИН ЗА ДОПОМОГОЮ РАСТРОВОЇ ЕЛЕКТРОННОЇ МІКРОСКОПІЇ

Abstract
The article presents the results of a comparative evaluation of the cuticle's image of the hair of cow, goat and sheep using REM image. There are significant differences in the thickness and shape of hair, as well as the shape and location of scales on the surface. It is established that the hair of the cow has a cylindrical shape. The cuticle's surface pattern looks like an irregular wave, gathered by wide rectangular petals. Longitudinal scales are with corrugated edges and they loosely adhere to the surface of the hair. The size of the scales is 8.7 μm on average, the angle of the edge is about 95°. The hair of the goat has a cylindrical shape, the scales tightly adhere to the surface of the hair, they are of a longitudinal direction, of different sizes, with smooth edges, the size varies from 6.3 to 15.4 μm with the angle of the edge of 90°. The cuticle's surface pattern has the form of an irregular wave, gathered by wide rectangular petals. Downу hair of a sheep has a cylindrical shape and guard hair has a flat shape and is much larger in diameter. The surface pattern of a downy hair cuticle, as well as an guard one, looks like a wide petal and an irregular wave. The scales of a downy hair cuticle are of the same size, with corrugated edges, of a longitudinal direction and tightly adhere to the surface of the hair. The scales on the surface of the guard hair is different in shape, in a longitudinal direction, almost of the same size, they loosely adhere to the surface of the hair (the picture resembles a fish scales), the size varies from 9.9 to 19.0 μm, with the angle of the edge about 96°.
