Abstract
In modern conditions the democratic functioning of the state a lot of attention is paid to protecting the rights and legitimate interests of man and citizen. Every citizen of Ukraine has the right to seek protection of their rights in court. The collection vessels carrying out the implementation of the judiciary in Ukraine constitute a unified judicial system. Ensuring fair trial is an integral component of the justice system. Today we can say that in Ukraine, the judicial system is not perfect and has several shortcomings that cause the inaccessibility of justice and making illegal court decisions, thus requiring more efficient and perfect judicial system. The solution of the existing problems is seen in the reform of the judicial system, which resulted in the adoption of the new law «On the Judicial System and Status of Judges», which establishes the transition from four-branches to the three-tier judicial system, which will operate on the principle of territoriality and specialization of judges. The Law also establishes the procedure of reorganization and formation of a new Supreme Court of Ukraine. In Ukraine, the judicial system today is as follows: the first instance – the local courts, the appellate court – courts of appeal, the court of cassation – the Supreme Court. It seems that the implementation of the Law «On the Judicial System and Status of Judges» provides demarcation of judicial jurisdictions, compliance with the principle of legal certainty, the unity of jurisprudence, and the like.
