Сутність категорії «економічна безпека держави» в контексті захисту національних інтересів держави / The Essence of the Category «Economic Security of the State» in the Context of Protecting the National Interests of the State

Abstract
EN The article analyzes a number of definitions of the category «economic security», identified by a number of leading scholars in the field of public administration. The only official definition of the category of «economic security» treats the investigated category as a state of the national economy, which makes it possible to maintain resilience to internal and external threats, to ensure high competitiveness in the global economic environment and characterizes the ability of the national economy to achieve sustainable and balanced growth. It should be emphasized that a clear definition of the category under study does not find its place in the higher-level normative documents. Some scholars focus on certain features of the category of «economic security» of the state. Among the features of economic security, it was singled out: the stability of the national economy; resistance to exogenous and endogenous negative factors, threats; development of civil society, its main institutions; raising the level of well-being of the population; forming the image of the state as a stable and reliable partner in the system of international economic relations. The conducted research also examined a number of endogenous and exogenous factors that have an impact on the national economy, with an emphasis on the challenges and threats faced by the Ukrainian state. External factors include: the attractiveness of the national economy for foreign investment; structure of foreign economic relations; membership in international organizations and associations; the image of the state on the international scene. Internal factors are legal; socio-economic; financial; managerial scientific and technical; natural. In the course of the study, it was determined that the country's economic security, as a defining subsystem of the national economy, has a rather complex structure, which is still controversial among scholars. These components include: industrial, demographic, energy, foreign economic, investment-innovation, macroeconomic, food, social, financial security. It is determined that the objective necessity of reforming the system of providing economic security is a key priority in ensuring the national security of the state, which in turn requires the stability of the national economy and the maximum protection of the country's economic interests in order to ensure the sustainable development of society and the state confronting external aggression.
