SYNERGETIC APPROACH IN LIBRARY AND INFORMATION SIENCE EDUCATION RESTRUCTURING

Abstract

The study researches the issue of the library and information science education improving. Documentary communication is considered to be the dominant of the higher library and information science education, which is one of the main social communication subsystems. The paper reveals the social communication dynamic changes under the conditions of information and knowledge society. Attention is paid to the objective existence of an integrated documentary and communication profession, which brings together all professionals who are mediators in the system of the society social communication. The research substantiates the application of the integrative and differential approaches as the didactic principles, which will provide the methodological basis for the new integrated specialty 029 – “Information, library and archival studies”, that prepares wide profile information professionals.
