SYNTACTIC SYNONYMY IN CONSTRUCTION GRAMMAR

Abstract
The article deals with the syntactic synonymy illustrated by the asyndetic substantival phrase N1+ N2. The research is presented from the standpoint of Construction Grammar and basic propositional schemas. Linguistic and cognitive background of syntactic synonyms is suggested. It is based on the degree of semantic proximity as well as structural-semantic similarity of synonymic phrases. That feature accounts for the interchange within the text without the breach of the main meaning and the content of expression.
