ТАЄМНИЧИЙ СВІТ ДАЛЕКОГО СХОДУ В НАРИСАХ МИКОЛИ БАЙКОВА І СТЕПАНА ЛЕВИНСЬКОГО

Abstract
The article researches flash fiction works of a Ukrainian and Russian writers of the first wave of emigration Stepan Levynskyi and Nikolai Baikov. There mentioned events, which had a considerable influence on the direction of their creative work to the oriental subject matter. Similar and different genre and thematic features in defining the problem of the secret human’s world and the Far East nature are clarified. It is proven that the genre of essay in combination of story elements is the main one in the creative work of both authors. This peculiar symbiosis of documentary and fiction features has its advantages over other genres of flash fiction works. It is defined by autobiographism, full of real events and people, author’s comments, the analysis of natural phenomena and society, consecutive description, plotline completeness and use of artistic devices. It is summarized that Baikov’s and Levynskyi’s essays are interesting and educational as well as useful, especially for the youth.
