Tamarixia monesus (Walker) (Hym.: Eulophidae) parasitoid of Bactericera tremblayi (Wagner, 1961) (Hemiptera: Triozidae) in Iran
Journal Title: Journal of Plant Protection Research - Year 2017, Vol 57, Issue 1
Abstract
Bactericera tremblayi (Wagner, 1961) (Hemiptera: Triozidae) is reported on Brassica oleracea var. capitata (Brassicaceae) in northwestern Iran. Tamarixia monesus (Walker) (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea, Eulophidae) was reared for the first time on B. tremblayi, and compared with Tamarixia tremblayi, another parasitoid of B. tremblayi. This is a new record of T. monesus from the Middle East.

Detection of barley- and wheat-specific forms of Wheat dwarf virus in their vector Psammotettix alienus by duplex PCR assay
Wheat dwarf virus (WDV) has been one of the most common viruses on cereal crops in Poland in the last years. This single stranded DNA virus is transmitted by the leafhopper spec, Psammotettix alienus (Dahlb.) in a persis...
In vitro evaluation of potato genotypes for resistance against bacterial soft rot (Pectobacterium carotovorum) – a new tool for studying disease resistance
In vitro screening techniques were used to evaluate 46 genotypes of Iranian potato collection for resistance to bacterial soft rot caused by Pectobacterium carotovorum subsp. carotovorum (Pcc). One month old in vitro roo...
Quantitative evaluation of Fusarium species and crop quality traits in wheat varieties of northeastern Poland
This research was conducted to investigate the natural, quantitative composition of the most common Fusarium species directly in fields of northeastern Poland. The concentration of Fusarium spp. and grain quality traits...
Systemic protection against pearl millet downy mildew disease induced by cell wall glucan elicitors from Trichoderma hamatum UOM 13
The obligate oomycete Sclerospora graminicola (Sacc.) Schroet, is the incitant of downy mildew disease, which is the main constraint in pearl millet production worldwide. Different elicitors from Trichoderma hamatum UOM...
