Tamponada serca z punktu widzenia pielęgniarki
Journal Title: Pielęgniarstwo w Stanach Nagłych - Year 2017, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
Cardiac tamponade is a set of clinical symptoms caused by the excessive accumulation of fluid in the pericardium, where the heart is located, resulting in its impaired filling and reduced cardiac output. The most reliable test for tamponade is echocardiography. Cardiac tamponade is a life-threatening condition that requires the puncture of the pericardium to evacuate fluid from the pericardial sac. The role of a nurse is to observe the early symptoms of tamponade and adequately manage a patient, both in the prehospital and hospital setting.
