Techniques for Enhancing Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Quality of Service (QoS) Over Wireless LANs

Abstract
The ground breaking impact of VoIP or IP Telephony in contemporary society’s telecommunication is monumental, colossal, abysmal, enormous and massive. This work presents controversies, issues, and problems bordering on the deployment and management of voice over internet protocol (VoIP) quality of service (QoS) over wireless local area network (WLAN) and suggests very significant ways of addressing such issues. The methodology used in this work is quantitative. Review of related work was conducted through evaluation of scholarly works (books, journals, articles, etc.), of scholars in telecommunication VoIP raises a number of new possibilities to explore the telecommunication world. This exploration only requires a willingness to entertain new paradigms in telecommunication. Our commitment to growth in the telecommunication industry demands that we take this journey.
