Abstract
The article is devoted to the substantiation of the technology of choosing the university’s development strategy. The author focuses the attention on the classification of strategies of the development of various organizations and presents a map of choosing of the development strategies for various universities. The technology of choosing the university’s development strategy contains the definition of the directions of the university's development (according to the direction of activity, the directions of possible development, the hierarchy of the strategy in the organizational structure and its management system, the place in competition, the direction of action, the way to achieve competitive advantage, the way the coverage of the market, the form, the behavior in the market, the complexity of development, the timing of implementation of strategy); formation of a set of development strategies; formation of alternative strategies for the development of a modern university.
