The action of thyroid hormones on the cardiovascular and renal functions in thyroid disorders
Journal Title: Medicamentul Veterinar / Veterinary Drug - Year 2016, Vol 10, Issue 1
Abstract
The cardiovascular and renal system suffer a series of hemodynamic changes under the action of excess thyroid hormone. The pathogenity of this excess can be reduced once the primar disease, hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism, is under treatment. When treatment is not efficiently administered, the secondary disorders will become permanent and the quality and expectancy of life will be reduced. This is why the effects and the concequences of the thyroid hormones needs to be fully understood.
