THE ADJECTIVE DISTRIBUTIVE MODELS OF THE LEXEME «CITY» IN THE LITERARY DISCOURSE OF UKRAINIAN POSTMODERNISTS

Abstract
The lexical-semantic field is a set of lexical units of different parts of speech, that are related in a common semantics and are combined in a paradigmatic, syntagmatic and epidigmatic relations. The syntagmatic relationships are analyzed by the example of distributive models of the lexeme «city» in the texts of Y. Andrukhovych, L. Dashvar, L. Deresh, O. Irvanec. The lexeme «city» is characterized by wide distribution and versatile lexical environment. The adjective distributive models of the lexeme «city» is 31%. The article studies the actual adjective phrase in which the lexeme «city» is used as a base component of distributive model Adj + «town / city». We used following notation: Adj – adjective for the ordered description during the distributive analyze. We analyzed the semantic features of adjectives that act as distribution partners in the postmodernist art discourse. It is planned to conduct a detailed comparative analysis of distributive environment of the lexeme «city» in the artistic works of foreign postmodern writers. We clarifies the features of epithet structures arising from adjectival distribution.
