Abstract
In the article, based on the analysis of the norms of the current legislation of Ukraine and the scientific views of scientists, the administrative and legal status of the subjects that determine the legal principles of the state policy in the sphere of provision of medical services in Ukraine at the national level is considered. It is substantiated that the process of reforming the healthcare sector in Ukraine should include not only a review of the approaches to the management of this industry, but also optimization of the structure of the system of government authorities that administer this.
