The Analysis of Husband’s Support to the Ideal Number of Children

Abstract
Having two children is enough is a manifestation of one of the criteria of quality family for the program of ideal number of children. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to know the description of the husband’s support to the ideal number of children in RT 9 RW III Plipir Sekardangan Sidoarjo. The design of study was descriptive done by using cross sectional approach. The population involved all of the husbands in fertile age, totally 83 people, in which 38 respondents were taken as the samples by using simple random sampling technique. The variable of study was the husband’s support to the ideal number of children. The instrument used to collect the data was a questionnaire. The data processing was done by editing, scoring, coding, and tabulating. Moreover, the data analysis was done by using descriptive statistics, and presented in percentage form. The result of study showed that among 38 respondents, most of them, totally 60.5% showed a good support on the program of ideal number of children, whereas nearly half of them, totally 39.5% showed a bad support. The conclusion of study was that the husbands have supported the ideal number of children. Hence, they should keep on supporting it and ask the others to give support too. The health institutions should also play their roles actively to succeed the program of quality family 2015.
