THE ARABS AND THE BEGINNINGS OF THE CRYPTOGRAPHY

Abstract
The present paper aims to show the influence of the Islamic culture on beginnings of the cryptography. They were the first which described a method for breaking codes (frequency analysis of letters in a text), which has strongly influenced the further development of their. In the current era, secure transmission of the digital information is virtually impossible without using some cryptographic strong systems which protect the information.
