The archetypes “Fire” and “Water” and their representation in the Russian language

Abstract
The paper explores the cultural markedness of stereotypical conceptions of fire and water underlying expressive word-formation. The imaginative stereotype is both an element of the inner form of a language sign as well as the specific form of knowledge accumulation about the external world and the Self.
