THE ASSESSMENT SYSTEM OF THE RESULT OF SECONDARY SCHOOLCHILDREN’S EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITY IN THE CHINESE LANGUAGE WITHIN THE MODERN EDUCATIONAL PARADIGM

Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem dealing with the assessment of the result of secondary schoolchildren’s educational activity in the Chinese language within the modern educational paradigm. Theoretical basics of the assessment regarding the quality of mastering the Chinese language in general secondary schools in terms of assessing the knowledge, abilities and skills of students in the Chinese language have been analyzed. It has been revealed that a pedagogical component plays a significant role in the process of student’s acquisition of knowledge and skills in the field of foreign languages. Pedagogical control is the only didactic and methodical system enabling teachers to check the compliance of students' knowledge with the levels of education; it reveals the successes and shortcomings of schoolchildren, establishes the relationship between the planned content of teaching a particular subject and unrealized aspects, predicts further methodological steps to improve specific aspects, etc. Functional, form- and type-related ranges of control realization of the secondary school pupils’ educational activity involving the Chinese language have been characterized. The functional range of the designated control is represented through these functions: feedback-oriented, evaluation-centred, educational and developing functions. The main types of control are correlated with the normative educational standards of Ukraine: current control, semester (term) control, academic year evaluation and state attestation. The leading forms of the control under study are determined according to particular criteria: individual and frontal; oral, written, combined; monolingual, bilingual. Some samples of exercises for thematic assessment of pupils’ achievements in the Chinese language have been presented. The perspectives of further research is seen in the study and elaboration of a complex framework which could allow teachers to assess the results of secondary school pupils’ outcomes within the educational activity connected with mastering Chinese in Ukraine’s modern educational paradigm.
