Abstract

Modern potentials of analytical methods, based on variational algorithms, allow studying the nonlinear dynamics problems of reservoirs with liquid within the framework of models of the system components combined motion and non-cylindrical shape reservoirs which are difficult to study. The results of the experiments revise some of the previously obtained theoretical data, e.g. about system behavior in a vicinity of the resonance, where oscillations modulation results in the property that even for durable time intervals the system does not pass into a steady mode of oscillations. Behavior of the reservoir – liquid system under force disturbance of translational motion in the above-resonance range of variation of frequencies is considered. The reservoir in the form of the revolution body e.g. spherical and hyperboloid reservoirs is considered. Distinctions of wave generation manifestation in comparison with below-resonance and near-resonance disturbance modes are shown. It is noted that surface wave generation is accompanied by considerable manifestation of oscillations modulation. Qualitative comparison of the obtained results with experimental data is presented.
