The BRICS and a global order: revisionists or conservatives?

Abstract
In the last years emerging countries have acquired a protagonism hitherto unprecedented in the international system. This article focuses on those countries that are called BRICS, seeking to answer to the question whether they would be fighting for international system democratization, or seeking to hierarchically ascending within it.
