The Comparative Analysis of Traditions and Systems of Students’ Education Financing in Ukraine and Other Countries

Abstract
Introduction The traditions and systems of students’ education financing and in Ukraine and other countries have been discussed. This issue is currently of great interest because education and vocational training play a very crucial role in securing economic and social progress and improving income distribution. No country can achieve sustainable economic development without substantial investment in human capital and in education of students. Purpose The purpose of the article is to study the traditions and systems of students’ education financing in Ukraine and other countries. Material and methods For achieving the purpose, the following methods have been used. Methods of structural and logical analysis have been applied to implement theoretical generalizations and formulation of directions for increasing efficiency of education financing in Ukraine. Methods of detailing and synthesis have been used to study financing of vocational training. The statistical methods have been used to study the trends of education financing in the world economy under the conditions of international communication. Grouping methods have been used to determine traditions and systems of education financing. Conclusions Studying the traditions and systems of students’ education financing in Ukraine and other countries has given possibility of introducing new directions of education financing in Ukraine. Proposals for assessing the effectiveness of financing on the basis of financial and non-financial indicators have been formulated. The author concludes that a new model of students’ education financing in Ukraine includes such components as transformation of the system of state financing of education; activation of public-private partnership; development of private investment and others.
