The concept of corpus delicti in the criminal law of the United States

Abstract
The article analyzes the system, the content and form of the composition of the concept of expression offenses in the American criminal law. The unity of subjective and objective signs are displayed in the construction of actus reus and mens rea, which play a leading role in ad- dressing the issue of criminal liability grounds. Structural and systemic features of actus reus and mens rea fully reflect the originality of the Anglo-American criminal law and help to under- stand the general principles of criminal responsibility in the light of the objective imputability.
